While Chris was growing up in Oregon, on property much like yours (about 5 acres of forest land), he had to go get a tree for Christmas. He makes sure to remind him mom quite often about having to go out into the snow, cut down a tree (with a little ax) and drag it home on an old door that had just been replaced. Their living room was even log walled!! Merry Christmas!! That's funny.
